Kairos Listening Report
We are blessed to have a committed team working on options for the future of our building, and this is an ideal time to do this important work. The pandemic gives us an opportunity to focus, and the building project sets up FLC positively as we search for a senior pastor. We will be positioned and ready to reactivate our full ministry when we can safely be together again.
Last summer and fall, Pastor Joe Crowther, from Kairos Consulting, engaged the congregation in an extensive survey, group listening sessions, and one-to-one conversations in order to assess our congregation’s missional identity and readiness for a significant capital campaign and building project.

We are now in the phase of the project where we are determining what will be needed to faithfully respond to God’s call for our congregation, while also considering the necessary repairs we must make to stabilize the sanctuary building in the long-term. This has involved meeting with some members of the congregation to assess their interest in financially supporting the project as lead donors.
The next steps are determining the overall scope of the project and the potential budget. The FLC Council hopes to share a plan with the congregation before the end of November.

Continue to hold the congregation in prayer through the next stages in the planning process. We will be glad to share more information with you as we move forward!
